As a lifelong natural athlete, you’ve built a tremendous physique within a sport where performance and physique-enhancing drugs are prevalent. Why did you remain a natural athlete and do you see yourself and the sport of natural body building as a role model/lifestyle model for young aspiring athletes:
As a non drinker and non smoker I was always into a “Healthy” lifestyle as a teenager. I played a lot of sports at school (actually I represented my school in nearly all sports). I ran 800m and played football for Redbridge District up to the age of 15. So taking sport enhancing drugs was never a question. The more I got into training the more I realised that I didn’t need enhancing drugs to succeed. I always knew that I was never going to make a living out of bodybuilding to I didn’t see the need to take drugs. I also was very determined to succeed in my career and knew that my career would always come first. As for being a role model, well I hope I am. There is no point in being a champion if you are not prepared to help others.
Why you chose PhD Nutrition to officially endorse:
I’ve been in bodybuilding for 17years and without sounding big headed I’ve had a few companies offer me sponsorship, but unless I use there products and feel they will benefit me I wont endorse them. PhD Nutrition contacted me asking if I would be interested sampling some of there new range of products and wanted me to give them my honest opinion. So I agreed and was very impressed with what I was sent. I was then contacted by PhD Nutrition asking if I would be interested in becoming one of the first endorsed athletes explaining that the company would be helping out all Natural Body building federations. I agreed straight away and I look forward to working closely with PhD Nutrition in 2006 where I will looking at winning more natural and non-natural titles!
Describe your training style:
Heavy, Compound no nonsense training.
Future aims and objectives within your chosen sport:
I would like to compete in the new UKFBB and maybe BNBF and Musclemania.
Thanks very much Fivos, anyone you’d like to thank for their help and guidance throughout the years, please do so:
Obviously my family have helped me out tremendously from the age of 20. Fellow bodybuilders I would like to mention are Peter Chown, Dean Garret, Lee Williams and yourself Jason for all the help and support that I received in 2004. Also I would like to thank PhD nutrition for selecting me as an endorsed athlete.

So from today ill be off work until Jan 3rd! Ive got so much leave left i may as well just take it and chill out. So i may not get the chance to update my blog.
2007 has been a fantastic year for me and a breakthrough year..my physique improved the most in 20years of training. I put this down to 2 things.
1. Synergy ISO-7: The best ever suplement ive ever used. IS0-7 allowed me to compete at my best ever condition and most complete package. ISO-7 made dieting so easy which i turn made getting ready so stress free.
2. Strongman/Powerlifiting: The first 6 months of 2007 i did my strongman and powerlifting training. This really thickned me up and improved the size of my quads and more noticble my calves (which had always been a glaring weak point on my phsyique).
So 2008..ill be working closely with Phil Learney on the nutrition and training side which should be interesting as i have never put my faith in anyone but myself. Ill be doing a mini diet for Seni 2008 in April so if you get the chance pop along as it will be a fantastic day!
So ill finish off this post by thanking Jason and Mark from PhD for continuing to sponser me for 2007 and i look forward to represetning the company in 2008. Also thanks to everyone who reads my blog.
Have a great XMAS and a fantastic new year..

So im on my own at work most of this week so im having to train really quickly as i really cant be out the office for more than 45mins. The gym i train at is about a 7 minute walk..so im doing either supersets or trisets.
Tuesday i did qauds and just did Front squats supersetted with leg ext..
Set 1 Front Squat 2 plates a side * 6 Ext 70kg * 10
Set 1 Front Squat 3 plates a side * 6 Ext 70kg * 10
Set 1 Front Squat 3.5 plates a side * 6 Ext 70kg * 10
That was it i was proper smashed! Doesnt look like much but if you go proper deep on the squats then you will know how i felt.
Yesterday i didnt train as work was so busy..
Today i did shoulders..again a triset
Set 1 Cleans 1 plates a side * 6 Side Lat Raises 20kg * 10 then Bent over Raises 20kg * 6

Work been very busy lately so i havent had time to update my blogs for which i apologise..
Last weekend i met up with the rest of the PhD team for an open day in PowerHouse fitenss in Newcastle. It was great meeting up with the rest of the team and chatting about everything and anything. It was also a prime time to debut my new PhD Promo DVD (which if you havent seen yet go to the media section of the main site and click on media.
So back in training and everthing is going how i want it to...Im still getting up most mornings at around 430am and taking Monica for a 4 mile power walk then hitting 20mins on my stairclimber..
Yesterday i trained at muscle works in the morning and had another superb quad workout. This week was Hack Squats (which i got upto 7 plates a side for 4 reps) and front squats (which i did 2 sets with 3lates a side for 6 reps).
Ive been chating alot with Phil Learney (the PhD guru) and he is going to assist me in the 2008 season. If you dont know much about Phil then get on the forum and ask away..he is an oracle of knowledge.
Today im not training as yes you guessed i swamped with work..but tommorow i def will.
Train hard

Pharma-Whey™: This is my bread and butter, my life source. I use 4 servings daily (one of them being a double-serving) supplying 100 grams of whey protein.
Wired™: This is like rocket-fuel before the early morning sessions and what’s more it contains basically zero-carbs. It gives me all my creatine, Glutamine and BCAA’s I need in 1 serving. It also tastes really refreshing, which is ideal on a summer’s morning.
Lean Degree™: As a competitive body builder I need to be shredded, Lean Degree™ is easily the most effective fat-loss agent I’ve used in 15 years of competing. I use 4 caps daily, two in the morning and two in the mid-afternoon or before cardio.
Smart bars™: Beautiful, the perfect between-meal snack for me.
