  • Digital Marketing Manager

    Salary: £

    Location: Leeds, UK

    PhD Nutrition was recently acquired by SiS (Science in Sport) to form the world’s leading premium sports nutrition group. PhD Nutrition are planning a digital upgrade with major investment into the online business.
    As a result, PhD Nutrition is looking for a digital marketing specialist to drive customer acquisition, grow traffic and build an email marketing database. You will have a deep understanding of all digital acquisition channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO (content and technical), Affiliate & Partnership Marketing, Email marketing and Display. You will have experience demonstrating attribution and ROI across all channels as well as experience managing both in house and external teams.

    Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

    • Management of all digital acquisition channels to https://www.phd-supplements.com/ to drive traffic, acquire customers and build the PhD email marketing database
    • Management of digital marketing budget
    • Ensuring conversion, low cost of acquisition and optimisation against KPIs
    • Database acquisition – working with brand partnerships, paid social, and any other opportunities to drive registrations and new leads to the PhD database
    • Email marketing – driving traffic to the website via email and managing all elements
    • Paid search – working closely with in-house PPC specialist to deliver on ROI and developing our paid strategy to build the PhD brand and ultimately drive sales
    • SEO – working with our agency and internal teams to drive technical improvements to our Magento platform and infrastructure. As well as working closely with content teams to shape our content strategy and optimisation across search engines.
    • Affiliate marketing – develop and own the strategy for this channel as well as all budgets.
    • Be ahead of the game with continuous testing, looking for ways to improve and optimise new acquisition channels to drive new traffic.

    Skills and Experiences

    Requirements:

    The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have some experience of working in a fast paced Ecommerce business with a focus on building brand awareness and driving revenue growth. In addition they will have the following skills and experience:
    • At least 2 years’ experience working in a digital marketing or acquisition specialist role either client or agency side
    &bull University degree from a top tier University (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
    • Commercial understanding of online retail, preferably within an omni-channel environment
    • Outstanding analytical skills and deep knowledge of MS Excel and Google Analytics
    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
    • Have a passion for sports and fitness

  • Ecommerce Trading Manager

PhD Nutrition are planning a digital upgrade with major investment into the online business. As a result, PhD Nutrition is looking for an experienced Ecommerce Trading Manager to manage the UK PhD direct to consumer business and drive sales through our website https://www.phd-supplements.com/. Your primary responsibility will be driving online sales and traffic growth while managing a digital marketing budget, Ecommerce team and delivering on KPIs. The right candidate will be a natural leader with a deep understanding of all digital marketing, website merchandising, CRO as well as demand planning and inventory management. We’re looking for a very commercial person to drive trading execution but also a truly localised and customer centric online experience. This is a unique opportunity to join the business at the heart of its growth strategy, reporting directly to the Sales Director - PhD but indirectly supported by the Group Ecommerce Director.

    Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

    • Driving sales and margin on the https://www.phd-supplements.com/ website through careful analysis of historical and live KPIs.
    • Driving traffic, conversion and ROI across all digital acquisition channels
    • Building and growing a customer database to target via email, SMS, social, Google, post.
    • Leading the cross-department relationships involved when planning and executing campaigns
    • Ensuring demand and stock is planned in with the warehouse/supply teams
    • Owning the Ecommerce promotional calendar from concept to execution.
    • Working with our Ecommerce Project Manager to drive onsite UX improvements and supporting UAT and QA of the development roadmap.
    • E-commerce reporting on daily sales and weekly KPIs
    • Working closely with operations to ensure high levels of order fulfilment and quality.
    • Management of digital marketing budget .
    • Managing and developing 2 direct reports: Digital Marketing Manager, Digital Executive

    Skills and Experiences

    Requirements:

    The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have some experience of working in a fast paced Ecommerce business with a focus on building brand awareness and driving revenue growth. In addition they will have the following skills and experience:
    • A passion for sports and/or fitness.
    &bull 3+ years’ experience working in a commercial Ecommerce or Performance Marketing role
    • Deep understanding of digital marketing and demonstrating ROI on campaigns
    • Experience managing advertising budgets
    • Experience with Ecommerce platforms, preferably Magento 2. Experience of alternate CMS will be considered
    • Advanced Excel skills, advanced understanding of Google Analytics
    • Fluent spoken and written English.

As a result, PhD Nutrition is looking for a commercially orientated and detail focused ecommerce professional to support the rapid growth of the ecommerce business. As Digital Executive you will be responsible for the day to day execution of ecommerce and digital functions including website content management, merchandising, email marketing, CRO, digital marketing and testing. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing business at the centre of its online growth strategy.

    Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

    • Content management, merchandising and website maintenance of https://www.phd-supplements.com/ (Wordpress and Magento).
    • Supporting the Ecommerce Trading Manager with CRM strategy and direct responsibility for all email marketing builds, database management, briefing graphics and content teams.
    • Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager with all on site requirements for affiliate marketing, brand partnerships, social media, paid search and SEO.
    • Analysis and reporting of sales trends and customer behaviour to drive improvements to customer acquisition, conversion and retention.
    • Daily and monthly sales and KPI reporting
    • Ad hoc project duties supporting the PhD Ecommerce team as necessary.

    Skills and Experiences
